As a first-generation student or professional, you might experience:

Self-Love and Confidence
We tend to be our harshest critics—not noticing or acknowledging all the great characteristics we have and accomplishments we have made, comparing ourselves to our friends, co-workers, and those we see in social media. This can add up and weigh the love we have for ourselves down. In therapy we can focus on highlighting everything we are overlooking and see yourself through new lenses full of love, acceptance, and confidence.
LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care
We can all use a healthy, safe, and nonjudgmental space to process our experiences in whichever stage of the coming out process we might be in. I understand our society is ever changing and as members of the LGBTQIA+ community we may go through lived experiences others may not quite understand. In therapy, I strive to create a safe space for all members of our community to navigate relationship dynamics, coming out, the exploration of gender and sexual orientations, among other important themes.
Anxiety and Depression
There come times in our lives when we might experience symptoms of anxiety and low moods that may be hard to process or manage. Together we can work on understanding where these feelings are coming from and what to do to help take control back so they don’t get in the way of you doing all the things you love and enjoy.
